Applications Invited for International Training Workshop Hosted by WDC-RRE
The World Data Center for Renewable Resources and Environment (WDC-RRE; WDS Regular Member) is inviting applications for an International Training Workshop on Resource & Environment Scientific Data Sharing and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service for “the Belt and Road” that it will host on 09–28 October 2018 in Beijing, China.
This workshop is aimed at refining the scientific data sharing standards and improving the informatization ability on data resource integration, providing experience, technology, resources and talents for disaster risk reduction knowledge service, and enabling researchers from more countries to participate in the construction of the knowledge service of disaster risk reduction.
Up to 20 foreign young scientists, scholars, engineering, or officials who are engaged in the work will have their training costs, accommodation, and some living subsidies covered. Whilst not limited to them only, applicants under the age of 40 from the national academy of sciences of the following countries will be given priority: Russia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, India and Iran.
The deadline to apply is 20 June 2018, with acceptance notified by 10 July 2018.
